Summary:
Provides pharmaceutical care according to professional standards and practices and complies with all Federal and State regulations in the practice of Pharmacy.
Emergency Medicine clinical pharmacy services to include direct patient care at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Emergency Department, with system-wide responsibilities for Emergency Medicine guidelines and protocol standardization.
Participation in system-wide committees such as multidisciplinary ED Clinical Practice Committee.
Position
Responsibilities:
o Evaluates medication prescribing patterns and identifies opportunities for improving drug therapy.
o Coordinate Drug Use Evaluation, Adverse drug Reaction Reporting activities.
o Provide education to patients/families, and other health care practitioners.
o Participate in medication safety initiatives in collaboration with the Pharmacy administration.
o Participates in patient rounds with appropriate individuals including physicians, nurses and other health care providers.
o Works within key sub-specialty areas (ex.
ED Clinical Practice) to develop and maintain specific routine monitoring criteria for these patients.
o Represents the Pharmacy Dept.
in system wide and divisional committees as needed.

Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or BS and comparable clinical experience.
BS.
PGY-2 in Emergency Medicine Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Active New Jersey pharmacy license.
Salary:
