This position, working under the direction of Regional Accounting Director, will be responsible for participating and assisting with month-end close, preparation and analysis of financial statements, general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations, maintaining and implementing internal controls, and budgets and forecasts.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
Compile and analyze financial information necessary to complete the month-end accounting close including preparation, input, and validation of journal entries.
Research, investigate and report variances on a monthly basis to maintain the integrity of the Company's general ledger and financial statements.
Prepare balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations to supporting documentation while investigating and resolving reconciling items timely.
Interact with auditors and assist with the preparation and documentation to support both internal and external audits.
Engage with the facility operations and finance team to develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
Support Facility Management by providing necessary reports and financial information.
Supports maintenance of plant DPS and waste model
Assists Buyer in closing PO's and maintaining Open PO report.
Ad hoc reports/client invoices and projects as required.

Position Requirements
B.S. Accounting or related field of study
Minimum of 3 plus years of relevant experience
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
PeopleSoft or similar ERP experience
Proficient with Excel. Longview experience is a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail and accuracy
Proven track record for driving process efficiencies and problem solving
Position will cover multiple facilities thus some travel between facilities is expected
