Registered Nurse, Operating Room, Part-time 3rd Shift, Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes - OR Experience Required
This position is to cover the OR from 7p to 7a (11.5 hours per shift) Monday to Friday Function as scrub or circulating nurse for all general surgery cases performed from 11p to 7aGather supplies and prepare or rooms for all surgical specialty cases performed form 11p to 7a and support specialty staff in performance of other specialty cases Must be able to scrub and circulate for the following specialties, vascular, general, GU and GYN Position
Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the appropriate delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. Education:
Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
0-1 years' experience required, 2-4 years' experience preferred License/Certification Required:
New Jersey RN licenseCPRACLSDysrhythmia InterpretationChemotherapy Certification (required for Same Day Surgery and Minor Surgery staff within 6 months of employment) License/Certification Preferred:
PALSSGNA certification Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred:
Ability to lead and manage a teamAbility to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skillsAbility to perform diversified duties with time limitations with a high degree of accuracyPrior Endoscopy experience Physical Effort:
