Short DescriptionWill be accountable for leadership, management, and evaluation of non-physician clinical services within the designated area of clinical practice. Ensures clinical staff member professional growth and development:
provide clinical supervision for behavioral health staff including social workers, counselors, care coordinators and other clinical staff, perform chart audits and work with staff on compliance, assist with training, responsible for employee rounding and engagement Ensures the delivery of quality patient care via management of clinical services, including clinical orientation and clinical competency, of non-physician providers. Leads patient care teams in conjunction with Medical Director to meet customer needs and to achieve departmental objectives in Quality, Patient Safety, and Excellence in Clinical Practice. Contributes subject matter expertise to design, development, and management of behavioral health services; participates in policy/protocol development relative to area of practice for clinical standardization initiatives Oversees compliance of clinical standards set forth by TJC and CMS, other regulatory, and accrediting bodies and agencies and in support of evidence-based practice standards in the ambulatory setting. Works clinically, for a portion of time, to keep clinical skills and competency current and to role model to other non-physician providers; Consults with patient's medical team to enhance understanding of patient; provides decision support for treatment planning and assists in the implementation and monitoring of biopsychosocial treatment plans; Performs on-call duties as required by program protocols and patient need; Responsible for on-call on weekend rotation basis Provides behavioral health care management support for population-based patient panel, particularly coordination of care between medical providers and community resources as needed. Provides facilitation and focus groups, within the Organizational Effectiveness Department, as needed.Provide and evaluate various forms of evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling including individual, family,& group and complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner 40%Utilize systematic behavioral health tools to evaluate, intervene, track outcomes for patient panel including motivational interviewing, brief problem solving, and harm reduction strategies.Provide behavioral interventions targeting adherence and behavioral problems interfering with management of medical illnesses and can train, validate, and Able evaluate provision of this service.Deliver group, and family therapy and psychoeducation addressing main behavioral health conditions based on patient and family needs and can train, validate, and evaluate provision of this service.Performs on-call duties and hospital consults as designed to complete a functional and strengths-based assessment and diagnosis on patients across the lifespanDemonstrates the skill and knowledge necessary to develop behavioral intervention plan, inclusive of health education needs, care management needs, and disease self-management from assessment, appropriate for patients throughout the lifespan and can train, validate, and evaluate provision of this service.Provides clinical supervision to behavioral health staff on weekly basis and assists with development of performance goals and objectives.Assists with development of staff competencies.Collaborates with the Director in the performance appraisal process of behavioral health staff.Supports and facilitates professional development initiatives of behavioral health staff and completes behavioral health clinician chart audits.Oversight for crisis management and conducts roots cause analysis and crisis debrief for staff.Screen, interview and identify new candidates.Contribute to program development, evaluation, and improvement in collaboration with medical lead, administrative director and program manager.Provide mentorship, role-modeling, and training for staff, students, residents and other visitors rotating through departmentInform policies support the mission of addiction medicine and uphold the overall mission of Cooper University HospitalProvide education and training throughout the Cooper SystemCollaborate with medical care providers, and other mental health professionals in delivering behavioral health care for specified population and panel and can train, validate, and evaluate provision of this service.Establishes and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers and community based agencies.Leads case conferences, departmental meetings, and supervision.Identifies training and education needs for medical practice and department; develops, plans, and implements training and education for medical staff, providers, and others as requestedPerforms duties within guidelines of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Contributes to an environment which promotes Department harmony:

SCR site Administrator/Steering Committee Chair - oversees the entire process of developing topics, enlisting panelists, advertising the events, and making arrangements; works through and with the Steering Committee and Org Eff Coordinator. Program facilitation for a number of programs like crucial conversations and trauma informed care - Presents information, directs structured learning experiences, and manages group discussions and group processes according to agreed upon design Conducts focus groups, facilitates meetings, and conducts individual interviews to provide data for the client to determine the right intervention.
