Job Description:
The Sr.
Associate, Production Planning position is responsible for planning, analyzing, and coordinating material availability and final approval of products through the complete production life cycle to meet production requirements.
Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
Advises management of the status of work in progress coordinates with manufacturing, quality and supply chain organizations.
Interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers.
Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments.
Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions or conflicts.
Essential Functions:
Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support Effectively communicates status to stakeholders, including organizational leadership and multi functional teams Demonstrates operational discipline and ownership Uses project management practices for resource planning, personnel oversight, and cost/schedule tracking Interfaces effectively with people at all levels and from diverse technical backgrounds Coordinate and Negotiate workflow through multiple work centers to secure needed resources while ensuring hanging customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation Understanding of project management throughout the entire project life cycle Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools and project scheduling/resource planning software Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of Production Planning experience.
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of Production Planning experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of Production Planning experience.
Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
SAP experience Military electronics experience Control Account Manager (CAM) in an EVMS environment Experience with lean initiatives or process improvement Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering Experience ERP/MRP systems Strong knowledge and skills within Deltek Costpoint with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
