Currently, the organization seeks to fill this full time position.
The employment specialist works to:
1) prepare individuals for work opportunities by assisting with resumes and job preparation; 2) build relationships with a wide array of employers to establish employment opportunities for students; 3) teach job readiness workshops.
Duties with job seekers entail conducting:
job readiness workshops, mock interviews, job matching, resume assistance, coaching, etc.
Duties with employers include:
networking, relationship building, recruitment, candidate referral, site visiting, counseling of placed graduates, etc.
Requires:
-Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice, Vocational Rehabilitation or a related field -2 years of work experience in adult education or human services -Must be fluent in English and Spanish -Must be highly motivated and engaging -Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills -Must possess a professional demeanor -Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer based reporting systems -Excellent oral and written communication skills required in English Job Type:
