Responsibilities:
Performs secretarial duties necessary for administrative and/or clinical departments of the organization.
Relieves department heads and other department supervisory personnel of routine and general office duties.
Prepare and compose routine correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc.
Receive and screen incoming calls, answering routine inquires and routing calls to appropriate individuals.
Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings, and related arrangements.
Open and distribute mail.
Record, prepare, and distribute minutes of meetings.
Work independently on special projects as assigned.
Order supplies necessary for program.
File documentation in the medical record.
Enter patient registration and billing information into computer daily.
Adheres to confidentiality of patients/families in CASTLE Outpatient Program.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
1-2 years clerical/secretarial experience preferable in a hospital or health care setting.
Excellent communication, organizational and strong interpersonal skills required.
Must have excellent telephone skills, knowledge of mental health language (DSM) preferred.
Knowledge of office procedures, equipment and systems including telephone, fax, copy machine, calculator and knowledge of work processing packages.
Knowledge of budgets and budget preparation preferred.
