P-3 qualified teachers can receive a $1500 Bonus Quarterly bonuses are up to 2k Annually! Center For Family Services' Head Start Program is seeking an experienced, professional Abbott Teacher.
The Abbott Teacher oversees the daily operations of planning, carrying out activities, maintaining the classroom environment and supervising staff, children, parent/teacher conferences, and classroom volunteers.
The Abbott Teacher encourages the involvement of families and arranges parent/teacher conferences, assists students in completing assignments, works in small groups and supervises children during meal times.

Responsibilities:
The Abbott Teacher treats colleagues and students as individuals with respect and dignity.
This individual promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicities, cultures, and other diversity-related factors.
The Abbott Teacher plans learning experiences, including field trips, that advance the intellectual and physical development of children while establishing a safe, healthy and organized learning environment.
The Abbott Teacher provides leadership to staff and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers.
They complete documentation and reports and assure the safety of State and Federal compliance at all times.
The Abbott Teacher completes 15 hours annually of professional development, attends all required staff meetings and activities, reviews progress in professional development and growth objectives with supervisor and discusses any issues only with designated appropriate staff.
The Abbott Teacher reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines and conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center For Family Services' Code of Ethics.
Requirements:
BA or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with 15 college credits in Early Childhood Education P-3 Certification required Certificate of Eligibility or Standard 2 years of supervisory experience working in a classroom setting Must meet current Head Start Mandates Maintains First Aid and CPR certifications Center for Family Services is an equal opportunity employer offering competitive salaries and excellent benefits packages.
