Summary:
Develops, analyzes, communicates, and reconciles the various SOA National and Regional vehicle incentives programs. Compiles/analyzes all incentive activity including per unit calculations to provide senior management decision information needed to support future incentive and sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
Performs monthly closing of the Incentives area of the financial statements including the development of estimates(accruals) for any costs incurred but not paid. Maintains responsibility for accounting for all private label customer loan and lease cost activity, completing the variance analysis vs. estimates, and providing senior management with detailed analysis of major variances. Reconciles all activity in the General Ledger in the incentives area for accuracy investigate any discrepancies found, record adjustments where needed and bring any material issues to the attention of the Incentives Manager. If needed contact the individual improperly charging any accounts to ensure that the errors do not happen going forward. Support Incentives Manager in review of all general ledger activity for any zone specific programs. Calculate the costs of these programs, and charge the Regions/Zones for any Regional Discretionary Funds paid through Subaru of America (SOA) incentives, as well as monitors any tactical funds dispersed, and charged accordingly. Provide the ones with the necessary analysis for all charges. Audit the upload of all proposed retailer cash payments into the incentives compensation module, to ensure the accurate calculation and payment of all retailer incentive payments. Match all proposed payment amounts to the plans communicated to the retailers on a monthly basis. Ensure all J-SOX compliance controls are followed. Calculates, verifies and reconciles all Subaru Service Loaner Program (SSLP) billings received from Independent Distributors. Contact management at the Distributor to resolves all disputes. Initiate payment of amounts due to the Distributors relating to the SSLP program. Review various incentives costs to determine if the costs are within the scope of reimbursable warranty-related incentives costs incurred by SOA. Prepare the billing detail to provide to the parent company, and charge the warranty account for all amounts due SOA. Explain any charges to the parent company if inquiries are made. Support the Incentives Manager in reviewing quarterly incentive costs for various incentive programs with responsible operational departments and review variances and areas that appear on pace to exceed annual budgets. Where applicable offer alternative actions to bring expenses back in line with annual budgets. Perform and support other Incentive or Finance Department projects including automation enhancement opportunities Required Skills/Abilities:
Working knowledge of generally accepted account principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Accounting and financial analysis experience. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Access) as well as Oracle and Qlik. Proficient in Subaru vehicle inventory software (Oracle Business Intelligence) including the ability perform trend analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work within the constraints of strict deadlines. Detail-oriented. Strong problem-resolution abilities Education/
Experience:
BA/BS
6-8 years of related experience, CPA preferred
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
