Ensures that the development and maintenance of timely, accurate and measurable courses in multiple media formats are best suited for the application and audience and meet the needs of the field and the Subaru brand. Manages the relationship with outside vendors as well as internal departments and partners by serving as a primary contact and decisionmaker. Manages the operational communications of Instructional Designers with Subaru Corporation (SBR), distributors, vendors and business partners. Maintains responsibility for ensuring that Instructional Designers are receiving necessary information from internal and external sources in order to develop accurate and effective technical training. Analyzes and provides feedback on materials developed by Instructional Designers. Monitors and coaches development activities to ensure the organization stays compliant with CASE development and delivery standards. Monitors field instructor training conducted by Field Service Training Managers in classroom setting as well as applications of learning in technical/lab setting at Area Technical Centers (ATCs) to ensure quality delivery of materials as development intended. Addresses observed and reported deficiencies in training materials and curriculum by determining solutions. Travels to vendor sites to perform capability analyses, when necessary. Manages the overall development of the Subaru Technical Training curriculum. Integrates principles of Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and E-Learning (WBT, Virtual and Video) into one cohesive and performance-measurable curriculum. Researches, develops, and implements more efficient training and development methods and technologies into curriculum design. Manages the overall budget relating to course development. Required Skills and Abilities (what employee must know & do to perform this job - e.g., communicate with all levels of employees in organization, balance multiple priorities, etc.) Ability to lead and manage the development organization to meet Subaru's goals and manage costs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. In-depth understanding of formal training practices and standards and current experience with curriculum development. Ability to work with high stress levels in a fast-paced environment to meet production and launch deadlines. Ability to effectively coordinate and evaluate curriculum development vendors, tool vendors, suppliers and global distributors. Understanding of automotive systems inside the Subaru environment and systems widely used in the industry. Knowledge of the instructional design of ILT and E-learning curriculum. Strong presentation and facilitation skills and experience. Educational Requirements 4 year College Degree (BA,BS) AES certification in A-1 through A-8 automotive areas as well as L-1, L-3 and G-1 Experience Requirements 10-12 Years of Experience
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, Organization Development & TrainingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
