Summary:
The Principal, Information Technology is a senior technologist position that supports Subaru of America's business objectives by identifying new technologies, developing technology strategy and supporting existing technology teams. This person will support Subaru's objective to bring exceptional digital experiences to our customers. Responsibilities:
IT Strategy Development - own and drive discussion across IT and business teams to create an actionable roadmap that accelerates digital transformation Technology Innovation - research, test and evangelize technologies that will provide Subaru with a competitive advantage in the automotive industry. Findings and recommendation to include cost versus business benefit models. Architecture Design - develop and govern technology architecture standards that ensure systems and services meet all availability, performance and security objectives. Includes understanding the current state of the technology footprint, business strategic goals and market challenges. Support Day to Day Operations - support technology teams with issues, day to day development challenges and strategic planning Coach and Lead - share technical knowledge, philosophies and experiences with the broader organization through structured sessions and by acting as a mentor and coach Cultivate Partnerships - develop and maintain relationships with critical vendor partners. Understand and communicate vendor roadmaps and strategic goals with the objective of taking advantage of potential wins while avoiding challenges. Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field 12
years of diverse technology experience (example areas include the following - not all required):
automation, infrastructure hardware, application development, database administration, systems administration, data science, etc. Good understanding of cloud technologies and cloud migration principles and techniques Excellent communication skills and proficiency in presenting complex topics to different audiences Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment, solving unique and challenging software problems, and developing innovative solutions Extensive experience working in a team environment, leading collaboration efforts, and sharing new ideas to support achieving collective team goals. Consultative skills including issue diagnosis, unpacking, and advising on executive-level challenges Intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging trends in technology Must excel at working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment Strong relationship-building skills Demonstrated ability to facilitate and achieve cohesion among different individuals and functions Ability to easily break down complex, ambiguous problems and propose novel solutions
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
