Front-End Developer (UI/UX) at Subaru of America in Camden, NJ
Summary - Purpose of Position The Front-End Developer, Connected Vehicle Information Technology is responsible for participating in all phases of development for Subaru's Connected Vehicle (telematics) technologies. Specifically, the candidate will work closely with development team leads and business analysts to understand requirements, wireframe solutions and develop finalized designs. This person will support Subaru's objective to bring exceptional digital experiences to our customers. Primary Responsibilities Interact with business users, development leads and other stakeholders to understand and clarify business and system requirements Develop, implement and maintain quality front-end code to ensure the accuracy and stability of telematics applications Plan, execute and coordinate user interface designs and feature enhancements Manage reported application errors and deliver viable solutions Ensure that no defective products are moved to production Participate in code reviews Provide code documentation and other inputs to technical documents Participate in project reviews and keep project teams informed of development progress and issues Skill Requirements 3
Years of Software Development Experience Proficient use of JavaScript as a programming language Exposure to JavaScript Frameworks such as JQuery, Vuejs and React Experience with HTML5 & CSS3 Ability to execute RESTful API Integration Experience understanding and developing within WCAG Accessibility guidelines a plus Technical skills include experience with JIRA and GitHub Awareness of the best UI practices and processes Self-starter, able to work independently and take initiative to find solutions for business requirements Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Additional Preferred Skills Single Page Application and Mobile Development experience Telematics and Automotive industry experience Analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics Hands on experience in generating and implementing unit tests Work Environment Hybrid work environment - remote work possible two days per week Educational Requirements 4 Year College Degree (BA, BS) Experience Requirements 2-4 Years
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
