The agency operates 43 community-based programs and services in South-eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to provide assistance to needy children, the elderly, the homeless and those with chronic mental health issues together with ex-offenders returning to society.
Nationwide Volunteers of America offers more than 100 different kinds of services in approximately 300 communities touching the lives of more than 1.7 million people a year.
The employee in this classification shall report to the Program Director. The responsibilities are clerical in function, with the primary focus of maintaining timely and accurate financial records that meet the standards of funding sources and Volunteers of America and performs clerical and office duties as assigned by the Director.
The employee in this position must possess High School Diploma or GED. Two years experience in financial record keeping is preferred. Working knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Able to travel locally. Valid drivers license preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
